FAQ

PRIOR TO BOOKING

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK WITH DELUXE BRIDAL?

We recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment due to high demand. We take bookings for up to 3 years ahead so it's never too early! Payments are broken down into 3 so you never have to pay all at once!

WHERE DO I FIND EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK?

Our previous work can be found on the Portfolio page on our website,
Or, our business Instagram: _Deluxebridal_

We also have our personal business Instagrams,
Makeup Artist: dianaparum.mua

Hair Stylist: Hairandbeautybyelissa

If you prefer Facebook please search using the Instagram names for both personal or combined business portfolios.

WHICH PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?

We have carefully selected a kit which we find works best for Bridal, our products range from luxury brand names to affordable favourites to ensure if a client loves the products we use, they can re-purchase them.
We pride ourselves with qualifications in Hygiene and Safety, everything we do follows the rules of the industry to ensure every client's experience is safe and hygienic.

CAN YOU USE MY PREFERRED PRODUCTS?

We understand that sometimes you may have those staple products. If you prefer to use your own products such as your favourite foundation, or pair of lashes, that's fine, however if we see that the products are not going to provide long-lasting, photo-ready results, we would recommend otherwise, as our experiences enable us the understanding of how products will wear, we can’t always predict how your products will work in combination with our products, the weather and the camera.

In terms of hair, if you want to add length or accessories, you would be required to provide your own hair extensions which the hair stylist is happy to fit for you. Extra charges will apply. Please notify us before booking the trial.

IS THERE A MINIMUM SPEND?

We do, travelling has to be worthwhile, when building quotes we calculate travel, transport and admin fees which we include in the quote to ensure we get the full picture.
For Makeup only bookings the minimum spend must be at least £199.
For Hair only bookings the minimum spend must be at least £199.

And for both, minimum spend must be at least £399.
Please be aware that bookings over 1 hour travel have an increased minimum spend of +£99, or 198 for both artists.

CAN I BOOK DELUXE BRIDAL FOR THE BRIDESMAIDS/MOTHER OF BRIDE/GROOM ONLY?

Yes! As long as the booking meets the minimum requirement we are happy to offer services to specific party members only.

I WOULD LIKE TO BOOK HAIR OR MAKEUP BUT NOT BOTH, IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Yes! Of course, it is your choice which services you book, we are separate Hair & Makeup artists so there is no obligation to book both as long as you meet our individual minimum total. You can also choose which party members have Hair or Makeup only within your booking.

WILL DELUXE BRIDAL BE USING ANY ASSISTANTS AND CAN I SEE THEIR WORK?

If your booking is deemed as a big booking, or an early morning booking with a large quantity of services, we may bring on a hand-picked assistant or another artist of equal skill to accommodate your booking, this will be disclosed prior to the day so you have the opportunity to view their work upon request.
Rest assured the Bride’s Hair & Makeup will be done by the Senior Artist. However the assistants may aid with other members' makeup, touch ups and finishes.

WILL YOU TRAVEL TO MY VENUE?

Yes, the quote includes travel to and from your chosen location on the wedding day.
All trials are held at our location.

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH MY SKIN TONE/TYPE OR HAIR LENGTH/TEXTURE?

Yes, we have worked in the industry for over 17 years combined so we’ve experienced all complexions and hair. (Senior Makeup Artist Diana: 9 years, Senior Hair Specialist Elissa: 8 years.)

THE PRE-WEDDING TRIALS

WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY HAIR & MAKEUP TRIAL?

We recommend having the trail 2-3 months prior to the wedding, however this varies depending on how far in advance you book. We understand that if your wedding is booked in two years time, you may prefer to get a better picture sooner and ensure you have plenty of time to make changes. You're more than welcome to ask us for our recommended trial dates; however you do get the option to input your preferred trial dates in the Bridal Contract.

HOW MANY LOOKS CAN WE TRY IN A HAIR & MAKEUP TRIAL?

We offer an online consultation to all members on the booking including those not booked for a trial.
The consultations will provide you with a chance to explain your ideas, preferences and expectations meaning we will already have an understanding on which look is desired once we start the work.

During a trial, we will consult further on your desired look to have a clearer picture. Once we start the Hair & Makeup we will review steps along the way with you so you can make changes during the process to build your final perfect look!

DO THE BRIDESMAIDS/MOTHER OF BRIDE/GROOM NEED A TRIAL?

We often recommend it to give you peace of mind and a better understanding of how their look will perform on photos and in combination with the Bridal Hair & Makeup, however it isn't essential.
We recommend adding other trials prior to paying the deposit rather than later as discounts may apply.

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT A LOOK AFTER THE TRIAL?

Before you leave the trial, we would ensure you are happy with your look, however should you wish to change it up, see a look online you prefer more? Please contact us to re-book a trial. (Additional Fees Apply)

CAN I BRING A FRIEND/FAMILY TO THE TRIAL?

Of course! Just let us know ahead of time so we can arrange space and seating. (Maximum of 2 people in addition to the Bride)

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE TRIAL?

We recommend wearing White, just to get a better idea of how the look contrasts against a White dress. We have protective cloaks that you can wear during the application to ensure your whites are not damaged. Also aim for a similar neckline to your wedding dress as this can play a major part!

Please ensure you arrive with a fresh face (No Makeup at all), well exfoliated and moisturised within 6 hours to the Makeup application, and fresh Hair (No product at all) washed no later than the night before and no earlier than 4 hours before the Hair styling.

We highly recommend bringing your veil and accessories to the trial to help envision the final look! This also helps the artists understand timings for the big day.

Please inform the artists prior to trials if you plan on having hair extensions, a tan, or semi-permanent eyelashes for the wedding day so that we are aware of the changes and can bring appropriate tools and products to the trial and wedding day.

THE WEDDING DAY

HOW LONG WILL THE HAIR & MAKEUP TAKE ON THE DAY?

This varies depending on the size of the booking and desired looks, a trial always helps us and yourself, to have a better understanding on how long looks take. This is why we always recommend a Bridal trial.
We follow a strict pre-made schedule which is communicated between the artists to ensure a flowing rotation between members on the booking.

CAN YOU STAY FOR TOUCH UPS OR A LOOK CHANGE?

We do offer this if required, additional fees apply based on the location, hourly rate and change to your look.
We arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time to find you and set up, and unless we have appointments immediately after, we aim to stay another 15 minutes to help out, take pictures and content.

WILL MY HAIR & MAKEUP LAST?

We pride ourselves on skills obtained over the many years of experience in ensuring your Hair & Makeup lasts through tears, hugs and hours of dancing, our reviews show happy clients who have said it lasted all day and night!
However please respect that we can not guarantee zero-movement with unpredictable weather conditions, if there is major rain, wind or heat naturally some movement may occur as the Hair & Makeup is not permanent.
If you have any concerns please let us know and we’ll be happy to help with information on how to fix, top-up or minimise movement in certain conditions.

CHANGES TO BOOKING:

CAN I ADD/REMOVE SOMEONE TO THE BOOKING?

Removing a member on the booking once deposit is paid will not result in refunds as we have relied on monterey earnings for the day you secured, if you want to remove a member prior to deposit payment, please let us know for a requote as the initial quote will be provided on the basis of the removed persons inclusion.

Adding a person can be done subject to time availability, please communicate this at least 3 days prior to the wedding.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE ARTISTS’ CAN’T MAKE IT ON THE DAY?

Our track records show that we have never found ourselves in this situation however we always prepare for the 00.01% chance of this ever happening in the future for your peace of mind. In this case we would work our absolute socks off to find a replacement artist, luckily we have friends and colleagues in the industry as well as platforms where we have an advantage in finding someone quickly.
In terms of financials, any treatments we are unable to do will be refunded.

WHAT IF THE WEDDING IS CANCELLED OR I NEED TO RE-ARRANGE THE DATE?

We understand that life happens, thus we are happy to make changes at any point, however please respect that this is the main job for the artists meaning that any monetary loss can have a huge effect on our finances. We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations unless within the refund/cancellation window (explained further on the Bridal Form)

We aim to try our best to accommodate changes, however it will be subject to time availability as we could be booked on the new date you require. (Additional fees will apply to cancel and re-book.)
